These FAQs cover the questions I’m asked most often, including what sessions look like, how we choose the right level of support, and what happens after you reach out. If you don’t see your question here, click Start the Conversation and I’ll help you figure out the next best step.
What do you help families with?
I support parents and caregivers navigating both everyday challenges and more complex family dynamics. These often include things like routines, burnout, communication breakdowns, school or learning transitions, and the mental load of parenting. My goal is to help you feel less stuck and more supported, with practical next steps that fit your real life.
What is the 20-minute introductory meeting?
The introductory meeting is a free 20-minute conversation to help us decide if I’m a good fit for what you’re looking for. You’ll share what’s going on, what you’ve tried, and what you hope could change. I’ll make a recommendation for the best next step. Thay may look like a 60-minute session, 90-minute session, a short series of sessions, or another type of support.
How do I know which service is right for me?
You don’t have to figure that out alone. Most families start by sharing the main challenge through the contact form or the intro call. From there, I’ll recommend the best fit based on your goals. That may look like family support, academic planning, burnout support, or communication-focused work.
What’s the difference between a 60-minute and 90-minute session?
60 minutes is best when you have one primary concern and want clarity, practical tools, and a simple plan to try right away.
90 minutes is best when there are multiple moving parts and you want more time to sort the pieces, prioritize what matters most right now, and build a strong starting plan.
Sometimes one session is enough while sometimes a short series is the most supportive option.
Do you offer multi-session support?
Yes. Some situations benefit from a short series so we can implement a plan, troubleshoot what’s not working, and strengthen what is. If ongoing support makes sense for your needs, I’ll recommend a multi-session approach after our first session. Sometimes, we may have enough information during the intro call to recommend multi-session support.
Do you work with clients virtually?
Yes. Sessions are currently offered virtually, so you can get support from home without adding more travel or scheduling stress. If in-person options become available in the future, I’ll share updates on the website.
Are you a therapist? What kind of support is this?
I’m a family life educator and coach. My work is educational and supportive, focused on helping families think clearly, strengthen routines and communication, and identify practical next steps. I do not provide therapy, medical care, legal advice, or crisis services. If your situation needs a higher level of support, I will encourage you to connect with the appropriate licensed professional.
Is what I share confidential?
I treat what you share with care and respect. I do not share identifying personal stories publicly without your permission.
There are a few legal and safety limits to confidentiality. Most notably, situations involving immediate safety concerns or suspected child abuse/neglect, which may require reporting under state law.
What are your rates?
Rates vary based on session length and the type of support you’re seeking. After your intro call (or inquiry), I’ll recommend the best session length and share pricing before you commit. If you’re looking for multi-session support, I can also discuss package options.
How do I get started?
Start by completing the contact form and sharing a brief overview of what you’re facing. From there, you can book a free 20-minute introductory call to determine we are a good client-professional fit.
